This hilarious Jack King-directed short, followed Donald as he tries to care for Hortense the ostrich, all while brushing off her affection and trying to stop her from eating everything in sight. This was the ostrich's first and only appearance in a Disney short, though she would later find herself in the \u003ci\u003eDonald Duck\u003c\/i\u003e comic strip (debuting in 1938 and making her last appearance in 1944) where she would become Donald's pet.
