"Mickey's Grand Opera" : Mickey Mouse Original Production Used Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936)

"Pluto, go home!" Mickey is conducting an important opera performance of "Bella Figlia Dell'Amore" and is determined to keep everything running smoothly, but Pluto wants some attention from his best friend. He sneaks on stage with a magic hat from the magician's props backstage, interrupting Mickey's big moment. The short was animated by several big names at the time including Les Clark, Dick Lundy, and Norman Ferguson. This wonderful drawing of 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings can be found at about the 5:32 mark as Mickey leans in to whisper to Pluto. Good to Very good condition overall with minor edge and handling wear, some age-related toning, and a faint crease.

The paper used by Disney studios in the 1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.
