Alice gets her stationery ready to practice her penmanship in this 16 field 3-peghole layout drawing created by Disney Legend Ken O'Connor (1908-1998). O'Connor was known for his wonderful layouts and work as an art director. He joined the studio in 1935 and remained there until 1978 where he worked on 13 feature films and almost 100 shorts. His work in this lot was made in collaboration with the Walt Disney Educational Film Division, created for the educational filmstrip Alice in Education Land. Released in 1976, this filmstrip was to be shown in classrooms and teach about different methods of communication through Alice's misadventures with the inhabitants of Wonderland. This piece is a remarkable find for any collector of Alice in Wonderland or lost Disney media.
