Offered here is an original animation drawing from Asterix and Caesar's Surprise (Astérix et la Surprise de César), the classic animated feature released in 1985 and based on the beloved comic book series created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo.

This authentic production drawing was used during the making of the film and can be seen on screen at approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes into the animation. Executed in graphite pencil on original animation paper with production notes and peg holes, this piece is a wonderful example of traditional European animation art from the 1980s.

Original production drawings are unique artifacts from the filmmaking process. As such, they represent an important piece of animation history and are highly sought after by collectors.
