Captain Tsubasa: Road to 2002 – Original Animation Drawing (Douga), 2002.
Original animation production drawing (dôga) from the anime series Captain Tsubasa: Road to 2002, based on the legendary football manga created by Yōichi Takahashi. This anime adaptation aired in Japan between October 2001 and October 2002, with a total of 52 episodes, and was produced by Studio Group TAC for TV Tokyo.
The drawing is executed in graphite pencil with colored pencil corrections, typical of dôga used during the animation process. These drawings were created by animators to finalize character movement and expressions before the scenes were transferred to the final animation stage.
Captain Tsubasa: Road to 2002 revisits the story of football prodigy Tsubasa Ozora (known in many countries as Oliver Atom) as he pursues his dream of becoming a world-class professional player and ultimately competing at the World Cup.
