This cel was used during the production of the anime series produced by Madhouse and broadcast in Japan between 2000 and 2002, which ran for 76 episodes. The scene features a boxing moment involving the referee intervening during a fight, a dynamic moment typical of the intense matches depicted throughout the series.

The cel is hand-painted on celluloid using ink and gouache, the traditional technique used in Japanese animation before the transition to digital production.
