"The Wayward Canary"Mickey Mouse Original Production Used Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932)
Mickey gifts Minnie a beautiful little canary in this comical Burt Gillett-directed short, but the bird's chicks don't want to stay put. They flutter around the house, and Mickey causes all kinds of havoc trying to wrangle them back into their bird cage. He falls out the window trying to catch the last one, destroying Minnie's greenhouse full of flowers in the process. You can find this great 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing as Mickey pulls himself up, surrounded by broken plant pot pieces, at about 5:55. He may be covered in dirt but he's more determined than ever, his centered figure rendered in graphite and measuring approximately 3.25'' x 4''. This vintage lot is in Very Good condition.
The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.
