Mickey's Garden : Mickey Mouse Original Production Used Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1935)

Mickey Mouse arrives in his garden to find it overrun with pests in the 1935 theatrical short Mickey's Garden. To combat the insects, Mickey loads a sprayer with toxic insecticide, but he finds that his sprayer has clogged. In this fantastic original animation drawing, Mickey unclogs the sprayer so that he can continue getting rid of the pesky insects, a moment which can be seen at the 2:02 mark of the short. This drawing features a great image of Mickey Mouse from what was only the second cartoon in which he appeared in technicolor. The drawing is rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field, 2-peghole animation paper, numbered 139 in the lower right corner.

The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.
