"Bravo, isn't he brave?" "Huh! A perfect scream, Bah!" Mickey Mouse is caught losing his cool in this fabulous original animation drawing from the 1936 Wilfred Jackson-directed short. Produced 90 years ago, this classic animation followed Mickey and Minnie's picnic as the overconfident Mortimer tried to impress Minnie. This captured image can be found near the 3:43 timestamp when Mortimer pulls their picnic blanket getting Mickey's face dunked in his coffee. Rendered in graphite and colored pencils, the drawing is numbered in the bottom right corner. This vintage drawing of classic Mickey is in very good condition with light edge and handling wear, light linework smudging from the artistic drafting of the drawing, and light age-related toning.
The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.
