Peter Pan : John Darling Original Animation Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953)

"Cuff links, father?" "Yes, the gold ones." Pausing a game playing make-believe as Captain Hook, John Darling questions his father's frantic search through the nursery in this original animation drawing. From the monumental 1953 adaptation of Peter Pan, this artwork is part of the production history of the Disney studio's last film in which all the members of Walt's Nine Old Men worked together as directing animators. Supervising the animation of the John and Michael were two of Walt Disney's "Nine Old Men" and Disney Legend inductees, Milt Kahl (1909-1987) and Ward Kimball (1914-2002). This delightful drawing bear resemblance to John from the sequence starting near the 5:00 timestamp, as his father, George, pilfers the nursery for his missing cuff links. The drawing is rendered in graphite on 16 field 3-peghole sheets of animation paper.

Condition : This vintage animation drawing show age-related toning and handling wear (See photos).

Size : 39 x 31 cm

The drawing is sold unframed.
