"Society Dog Show" - Pluto Original Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939).

Pluto is on his way to saving the day in this exciting 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing! The Bill Roberts-directed short was released to theaters on 2/3/1939 with animators like Clyde Geronimi, Dick Lundy, Fred Moore, and Les Clark. Society Dog Show followed Mickey as he tried to prove Pluto was the best dog around by entering him in a high society dog show. The pup is soon kicked out, but still shows he's a cut above the rest by saving Fifi during a fire. The graphite with color pencil drawing was created for the scene starting at about 6:54 as Pluto tries to avoid falling through the flaming, gaping hole in the floor. Very good condition overall with light edge and handling wear and faint age-related toning.

The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.

Size : 30 x 25 cm

The drawing is sold unframed.
