Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs : "The Silly Song" Happy Rough Animation Drawing by Disney Legend Bill Tytla (Walt Disney, 1937).

"Ho-hum, the tune is dumb, the words don't mean a thing. Isn't this a silly song for anyone to sing?" Happy serenades Snow White in this spectacularly rare 12 field 5-peghole rough animation drawing from "The Silly Song" sequence of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This is a full figure and rendered in graphite with color pencil with this jolly dwarf centered on the page. It is most similar to the dance that Happy does at roughly 52:54 as the dwarfs dance with Snow in their cottage. This incredible drawing was created by Disney Legend inductee Bill Tytla (1904-1968), who played a large part in the design of Disney's first animated feature and helped to make the dwarfs into who we know and love today. Very good condition with light age-related toning, holes added for binder storage, and faint edge and handling wear.

The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.

Size : 39 x 32 cm

The drawing is sold unframed.
