Offered here is a rare original hand-painted animation production cel from the classic Japanese anime series The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Tomu Sōyā no Bōken), produced by Nippon Animation and originally broadcast in 1980 on Fuji TV as part of the famed World Masterpiece Theater lineup.

Based on Mark Twain’s beloved story, the series follows young Tom Sawyer and his best friend Huckleberry Finn as they embark on lively adventures along the Mississippi River.

This production cel features the protagonists in vibrant, hand-painted color and is a genuine piece of animation history from one of Nippon Animation’s most cherished adaptations.

Condition: This set consists of 2 cels (1 per character). The paint has stuck the two cels together. Removing them would risk damaging the paint. Overall, the condition is very good for their age. See photos.
