Who Framed Roger Rabbit : Bongo Original Animation Drawing by Disney Legend Andreas Deja (Walt Disney/Amblin, 1988).
"Got the password?" "Walt sent me." Bongo the Gorilla diligently keeps watch at the Ink and Paint Club's door, and Eddie Valiant has just used the right password to get him inside the most popular nightclub in town. The dialogue and name of the club are one of the many, many references to the golden age of animation in the groundbreaking film and this 12 field 3-peghole layout drawing was created for that scene. The drawing was created in graphite with color pencil by the Disney Legend Andreas Deja, who supervised the main toon, Roger Rabbit's, animation. He also animated Bongo during his sequences and one of the group shots at the end of the film. These scenes, like all of the animation in the film, presented a unique challenge but he tackled it successfully.
From the Disney Legend Andreas Deja Collection.
