Yosemite Sam – Hand-Colored Etching by Sowa & Reiser – Sold-Out Limited Edition No. 126/500 (Warner Brothers, circa 1990s–2000s)
"I'm the hootin'est, tootin'est, shootin'est bobtail wildcat in the West!" Who in tarnation is that, you ask? Well, it’s none other than Yosemite Sam, featured here in a hand-colored miniature etching. This is a signed and numbered etching by Sowa and Reiser, part of a sold-out limited edition of only 500 copies.
Each hand-colored etching is printed on card stock measuring approximately 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm), with an image area of about 1.75" x 1.75" (4.5 cm x 4.5 cm). This popular piece is numbered 126 out of 500.
It was created using a steel engraving needle to scratch into a varnish-coated zinc or copper plate, then printed with a hand-operated press on damp handmade paper, and finally hand-colored once dry.
The etching is in very good to excellent condition. Just need to find a nice little frame!
