This incredible original production drawing come from Shanghaied (1934), a thrilling Mickey Mouse short directed by Burt Gillett. In this swashbuckling adventure, Mickey and Minnie find themselves kidnapped by Pete and his pirate crew, setting the stage for a daring escape. The short is historically significant as the first to feature Billy Bletcher as the voice of Pete, while Walt Disney himself voiced Mickey and Marcellite Garner provided Minnie's vocals. Animated by Disney Legends Norman Ferguson, Clyde Geronimi, Jack Hannah, and Ben Sharpsteen, Shanghaied is packed with high-energy action and comedy, showcasing Mickey at his best as the plucky underdog. This graphite drawing on 12-field, 2-peghole animation paper are numbered. In vintage good condition, they exhibit production-related edge wear and age-related toning.

The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.
