"Zoinks!" Showcased in this lot is a wonderfully spooked Shaggy cel from the seventh incarnation of Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo franchise, a 13-episode series called The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo. After Scooby and the gang accidentally release 13 ancient ghosts into the world, they go on a monster-of-the-week adventure to clean up their mess. This series was the first time Shaggy is seen in the unique red shirt, and production cels with the look are rare, only coming from The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo. As the next time Shaggy is seen wearing this look is in Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase, which was produced using digital ink and paint in 2001. This cel is a great find for fans of Shaggy and the Scooby-Doo franchise! The hand-painted rendering of Shaggy is on 12 field cel. The cel is displayed on print background from episode 6 "Ship of Ghouls" and feature a Hanna-Barbera Studio Seal.
